Wonderland Amusement Park was slated to be Asia’s largest theme park. Construction began in 1996 on a 100-acre plot of farmland in Nankou, China, approximately 45 minutes north of Beijing. Following legal discrepancies between developers and local farmers, construction was halted two years later. Today, remnants of the abandoned pseudo-Disneyland sit amid a field of corn, where farmers toil their crops side-by-side unfinished castles.
